Network Engineer - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructures, including firewalls, routers, switches, and WAN connectivity.
- Provide expert guidance in network security, capacity planning, and technology evaluation.
- Mentor and support junior network engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated network operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled network change windows to maintain continuous service availability.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and network security protocols.
- Leverage automation tools and scripting to streamline network management processes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in IT, with a strong background in network engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP routing, and Cisco network configuration.
- Proficiency with Cisco ACI, SDN, and network virtualization technologies for at least 2 years.
- Experience in network automation using Python, Perl, and tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
- Solid background in network security, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools (e.g., Solarwinds, AKIPS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
