IDR is seeking a Network Administrator to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, youll support day-to-day administration and improvement of secure business network services across multiple locations. This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-assurance IT environment where reliable, secure connectivity is essential to operations.
Position Overview for the Network Administrator- Provide day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation for TXCC business network services.
- Support LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, DNS, DHCP, remote access, and internet edge connectivity.
- Assist with secure network operations including segmentation, access control coordination, and controlled change implementation.
- Support service restoration, operational documentation, and network diagrams/capacity planning.
Requirements for the Network Administrator:- 8+ years administering, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and internet connectivity services.
- 5+ years with routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, wireless networks, network diagrams, and network performance monitoring.
- 5+ years implementing and maintaining secure network segmentation, least-privilege access paths, and controlled network changes.
- 3+ years coordinating with carriers, managed service providers, hardware vendors, and internal support teams to resolve network service issues.
- 3+ years using ticketing, change management, monitoring, documentation, and inventory practices in an operational IT environment.
