Neonatologist (MD/DO) - Summary- Provide specialized medical care for newborn infants, particularly those who are premature or critically ill.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive neonatal care.
- Maintain a flexible 24-hour shift schedule for optimal patient outcomes.
- Advocate for high-quality standards and evidence-based clinical practices in the NICU.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage the medical needs of newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
- Perform necessary medical procedures, including intubation, resuscitation, and administration of specialized therapies.
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic imaging results to guide clinical decision-making.
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans for each patient based on the latest clinical guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing education and emotional support throughout the treatment process.
