Neonatologist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert medical care to newborns, including those with complex or critical conditions
- Consult with and support a team of nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied health staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and collaborate closely with pediatricians and other specialists
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to residents, interns, and medical students as needed
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as appropriate
- Engage in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives as appropriate
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Neonatology
- Active and unrestricted medical license or the ability to obtain one
- Demonstrated expertise and experience in neonatal intensive care
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
