The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) – NICU will work a schedule of seven 24-hour shifts in a two-week period, ensuring consistent and thorough coverage for infants requiring intensive medical attention. Candidates must be able to respond rapidly to emergencies and be located within a 30-minute radius of the hospital to fulfill on-call responsibilities. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) – NICU Summary
- Full-time advanced practice provider position in a Level III/IV NICU

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex clinical conditions
- Perform advanced procedures and interventions as per clinical protocols
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Communicate effectively with families, providing education, support, and updates regarding patient status and care processes
- Participate in rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based practice projects
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record
- Respond to neonatal emergencies and provide resuscitative measures as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN), Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies
- Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the state of Florida
- Current BLS and PALS (or NRP for NNPs) certifications
- Three years of Level III or higher NICU experience strongly preferred
- New graduates must have prior NICU RN experience
- National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
