Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - Summary
- Provide specialized care to neonates, including premature and critically ill newborns, in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Work collaboratively with the medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for neonatal patients.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including physical exams and diagnostic procedures, for neonates in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
- Develop and oversee treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the health status and care needs of infants.
- Administer medications, initiate and manage advanced therapies, and monitor patient progress.
- Educate and support families regarding their newborns’ conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and care conferences with the healthcare team.
- Provide emergency interventions and resuscitation as required.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to ongoing research and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance neonatal outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Neonatology (NNP) is required.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with clinical training in neonatal care.
- Board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC or equivalent).
- Experience working in a neonatal intensive care or similar clinical setting preferred.
- Ability to work 24-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
