Neonatal Nurse Practitioner NNP - Summary
- Provide advanced, evidence-based care to neonates in a clinical setting
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive newborn assessments and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neonatal health conditions
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as indicated
- Interpret diagnostic tests and adjust care plans accordingly
- Communicate effectively with families, providing education and support
- Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records
- Participate in care team meetings, quality assurance, and improvement initiatives
- Mentor and educate nursing staff and students on best practices in neonatal care
- Ensure compliance with all organizational, state, and federal regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with advanced practice credentials
- Board certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC or equivalent)
- Graduate degree from an accredited NNP program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
- Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills
