Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to neonates in the NICU
- Perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with attending physicians
- Facilitate coordination of care across the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Provide education, counseling, and support to families during hospitalization
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and implement best practices in neonatal care
- Document patient care and progress in accordance with facility policies
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory requirements for neonatal care
- Demonstrate flexibility by working a rotating schedule including nights, days, and weekends

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification
- Active and valid state licensure at the time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in a hospital or clinical NICU environment
- Demonstrated expertise in neonatal assessment, stabilization, and ongoing management
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
