Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of neonates and infants within Level II, III, and IV NICU settings, ensuring the highest standards of care for over 700 infants annually.
- Perform advanced medical procedures, including intubation, line placements, and resuscitation as clinically indicated.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide seamless, family-centered care and maintain open communication with families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Utilize evidence-based practices in all clinical interventions, consistently applying the latest research and quality improvement initiatives to improve neonatal outcomes.
- Support and participate in ongoing research and quality improvement projects, contributing to the advancement of neonatal medicine and patient safety.
- Maintain all required licensure and certifications, ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
- Deliver age-appropriate, developmentally sensitive care tailored to the unique needs of each patient in a high-acuity environment.
- Document all patient encounters and interventions accurately in electronic health records, supporting clear communication and continuity of care.
- Provide education and guidance to families, empowering them to participate in the care and recovery of their newborns.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program specializing in neonatology.
- Current active state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
- Board Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC).
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BCLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Open to both experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and newly certified graduates with a demonstrated commitment to neonatal care.
