As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), you will work with a diverse team of neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to neonates with complex medical needs. This position offers rotating 12-hour shifts covering both days and nights, ensuring continuity of care and fostering professional development through exposure to a broad spectrum of neonatal conditions. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments, diagnose health issues, and develop treatment plans for neonates in the NICU.
- Perform and interpret necessary diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and hospital protocols.
- Assess and manage acute and chronic conditions in newborns requiring Level III or IV NICU care.
- Collaborate with neonatologists and other healthcare providers to coordinate effective, patient-centered care.
- Educate and counsel families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, and ongoing care needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and support evidence-based practice standards.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- For Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) candidates:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current RN license and NNP certification (MD or Compact State eligible).
- Current BLS CPR certification.
- At least 3 years of NICU clinical experience; Level III or IV NICU experience preferred.
- For Physician Assistant (PA) candidates:
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
- Current PA license and national certification.
- Current BLS CPR certification.
- NICU experience or completion of a PA Neonatal Residency or Fellowship program.
