As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), your responsibilities will include the assessment, evaluation, and treatment of neonates, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. You will attend high-risk deliveries, perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization, and prepare infants for transport to tertiary care facilities when higher levels of care are required. Your involvement in ongoing competency assessments and education further supports the continued growth of nursing staff and ensures the delivery of advanced clinical care within the NICU.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) - Summary- Full-time position in a Level II Nursery/NICU setting
- Collaborative, team-based care model focused on neonatal patient outcomes

- Provide comprehensive assessment, evaluation, and treatment of neonates in the NICU
- Attend and assist with high-risk deliveries, including neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
- Collaborate closely with pediatricians and interdisciplinary teams in care planning and delivery
- Stabilize neonates for transport to higher-level care facilities as required
- Participate in ongoing competency assessment and educational programs to maintain advanced neonatal knowledge
- Support and mentor nursing staff in the development and maintenance of critical care skills
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives within the NICU

- Graduate of an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program
- Current NNP Certification required
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Current Illinois license or eligibility for Illinois licensure
