The role primarily supports the 780th Test Squadron under the TMAS contract, contributing to the developmental and operational testing of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and direct fire munitions for the United States Air Force.
As a Munitions Test Engineer (Top Secret/SCI Clearance), you will be responsible for acting as a subject matter expert in system performance requirements, designing and developing test methodologies, and establishing detailed test procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of test programs, from the identification of instrumentation and test support equipment requirements to the coordination with program offices, contractors, and test ranges. You will also oversee the collection and analysis of test data, supporting the 96th Test Wing’s test execution plan, and serve as a key point of contact for all aspects of test development and execution.
This position requires advanced analytical, technical, and leadership skills. You will be involved in briefing and debriefing aircrew, preparing comprehensive test documentation, and managing logistical efforts related to test equipment. Experience with aircraft and weapons integration, familiarity with USAF and USN fighter/bomber tactics, and a solid understanding of the safety and infrastructure constraints associated with developmental test environments are highly valued. Candidates with prior aircrew experience, experience in modeling and simulation (especially using AFSIM), and proficiency in programming or scripting will be well regarded.

Munitions Test Engineer (Top Secret/SCI Clearance) - Summary
- Primary responsibility for test planning, execution, and analysis of munitions systems

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and review test documentation, including data plans, methods of test, flight cards, and analysis reports
- Forecast test assets and range requirements; act as the main point of contact for test development
- Integrate with program offices and prime contractors to define and address test requirements
- Act as test director or conductor during mission execution, providing briefings and debriefings to aircrew
- Coordinate logistical and technical efforts related to instrumentation and test equipment
- Identify and resolve issues independently while providing oversight to less experienced personnel
- Manage data collection, reduction processes, and coordinate with test support agencies and ranges

Qualifications & Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Top Secret/SCI DoD security clearance (Special Access Program eligible)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or related technical field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years related analysis experience, with at least 2 years hands-on experience creating AFSIM scenarios and models
- At least 6 years of Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience preferred
- Familiarity with instrumentation, aircraft integration, test ranges, and safety protocols in developmental test environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Programming or scripting experience
