Mobile Game QA Tester Job OverviewWe are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Mobile Game QA Tester to join our remote team in North America on a project basis. As a Mobile Game QA Tester, you will play a vital role in evaluating mobile games from the perspective of the end user to help ensure an enjoyable, engaging, and frustration-free player experience. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about mobile gaming and eager to contribute to the improvement of player satisfaction by providing thoughtful, actionable feedback on gameplay and design elements. This is a remote, project-based opportunity.
Responsibilities- Play a wide range of mobile games extensively, focusing on the entire player journey and overall emotional engagement.
- Evaluate and document areas where the player experience may be improved, including identifying confusing mechanics, imbalanced difficulty, or insufficient reward systems.
- Provide creative, detailed, and constructive feedback on aspects such as game design, narrative, user interface, and monetization strategies to enhance the gaming experience.
- Simulate various types of player archetypes to assess how different users might respond to specific game features and mechanics.
- Compose comprehensive daily or weekly reports that detail player experience observations, summarize sentiment, and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Strong empathy for players and a thorough understanding of what contributes to an engaging and enjoyable mobile gaming experience.
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools and significant experience across multiple mobile game genres.
- Preferred experience in game playtesting, user experience research, or community management within the gaming industry.
- Reliable internet connection and access to up-to-date mobile devices for testing purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to accurately convey player sentiment and detailed feedback.
