As a Millwork Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial construction process by preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for casework, millwork, and finish carpentry projects. This position is responsible for managing the bid process from initial review to project handoff, ensuring all estimates are based on thorough analysis of drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Millwork Estimator - Summary
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for millwork, casework, and finish carpentry projects.
- Review and analyze architectural, engineering, and interior design drawings and specifications.
- Manage the full bid process, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless project transition from estimating to production.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review project drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine scope and estimating requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for casework, millwork, and finish carpentry packages.
- Identify and recommend value engineering and cost-saving opportunities while maintaining design intent.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and scopes of work based on client and project needs.
- Partner with production and project management teams to facilitate smooth handoffs and project execution.
- Source and obtain competitive pricing from vendors and suppliers for materials and components.
- Monitor industry trends, pricing changes, and maintain historical estimate data for future reference.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams regarding project details, specifications, and bid clarifications.
- Ensure all proposed designs comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and client requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in millwork or casework estimating, or closely related field.
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, millwork materials, fabrication methods, and industry standards.
- Proven ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications with accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities; must manage multiple bids and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with estimating software such as Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar is a plus.
