Millwork Estimator - Summary
- Responsible for preparing detailed and timely cost estimates for custom casework, millwork, and finish carpentry projects.
- Manage the entire bid process, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in every proposal.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to achieve seamless project transitions from estimating to production and project management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and cost factors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and analyze architectural, engineering, and interior design drawings and project specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for custom millwork, casework, and finish carpentry projects.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options to optimize project budgets.
- Create detailed project plans and define scopes of work based on project requirements.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.
- Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive material pricing and maintain quality standards.
- Document and track industry trends, project costs, and expenses for continuous improvement.
