Middleware Administrator - Summary
- Manage and support enterprise middleware environments primarily built on JBoss EAP and Apache SOLR.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of middleware platforms across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
- Ensure system reliability, stability, and high availability through automation and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust middleware solutions that support business objectives.
- Drive operational efficiency by optimizing deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot JBoss EAP middleware in both standalone and domain modes.
- Implement and manage clustering and failover setups to maximize system uptime.
- Automate deployment processes and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows for middleware components.
- Perform regular operational troubleshooting, incident management, health checks, and monitoring to ensure peak system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, security, application, and DevOps teams to address platform needs and resolve issues promptly.
- Configure integrations such as mod_jk and mod_cluster, and manage JVM, datasource, and server settings.
- Utilize both GUI and CLI tools for application deployment and platform management.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Strong expertise in administering JBoss EAP 7/8.x middleware environments.
- Significant hands-on experience with Apache SOLR.
- Demonstrated ability to configure and manage JBoss clustering and failover setups.
- Experience integrating middleware using mod_jk and mod_cluster.
- Proficiency in both GUI and CLI-based application deployment, as well as managing JVM, datasource, and server configurations.
- Track record of supporting middleware environments across multiple stages such as development, QA, staging, and production.
