Metadata Analyst - Summary- Serve as a key liaison between technical IT and non-technical program staff in a regulated, data-centric environment.
- Define, implement, and maintain business and technical glossary standards that support reporting and analytics.
- Communicate technical metadata findings in accessible language to stakeholders at all levels.
- Evaluate complex technical data sources to support the creation and maintenance of data glossaries.
- Collaborate with teams to establish and validate business and technical glossary definitions for analytics and data lineage.
- Translate metadata acquisition and operational requirements into actionable access paths for data glossaries.
- Communicate technical findings, data limitations, and recommendations to end-users and leadership in clear, non-technical terms.
- Work closely with performance analysts, IT leaders, and end-users to ensure accuracy and usability of glossaries for analytics development.

- Minimum 8 years of experience gathering business requirements and translating complex metadata acquisitions into actionable data glossary solutions.
- 8+ years of experience communicating technical findings and data limitations in accessible language to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in complex data analysis, business/systems analysis, or serving as a data liaison.
- Strong proficiency with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and enrichment.
- Track record of collaborating with end-users and performance analysts or IT leaders to create and validate analytics glossaries and support business data lineage analysis.
- Expert communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for data governance and quality.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions.
