The role of an MEP Coordinator is essential within the commercial construction industry, particularly for organizations dedicated to delivering large-scale projects in sectors such as healthcare, institutional, and commercial buildings. As an MEP Coordinator, you will be responsible for the effective planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems throughout all phases of the construction process. This position ensures that all MEP systems are seamlessly integrated with architectural and structural elements, completed on schedule, within budget, and aligned with the highest standards of quality and safety.

The MEP Coordinator plays a pivotal role from the earliest stages of project development through to final completion and turnover. You will collaborate closely with design and engineering teams, consultants, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements are addressed proactively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to value engineering, BIM coordination, and maintaining open lines of communication among all project stakeholders. The MEP Coordinator’s expertise is crucial for identifying and resolving design conflicts, supporting quality assurance, and verifying that installations meet all safety standards and local codes.

In addition to technical coordination, this role requires strong project management skills, including tracking RFIs, managing change orders, and maintaining as-built documentation for MEP scopes of work.
