The Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) plays a vital role in hospital laboratory operations, supporting patient care by performing and analyzing a wide array of diagnostic tests. As a Medical Technologist (MT/MLT), you will work as part of a collaborative laboratory team committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. The Core Lab is equipped to handle a variety of testing disciplines, including urinalysis, blood banking, chemistry, and hematology. Additional responsibilities include blood culture staining with most microbiology tests sent to reference laboratories.

Proficiency in manual laboratory procedures is essential for the Medical Technologist (MT/MLT) role. You will be expected to accurately perform and interpret urine drug screens, gram stains, mononucleosis and strep screening, urine pregnancy tests, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), as well as both manual and automated blood banking procedures. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting laboratory equipment and conducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
