Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Medical Scribe:
Accompany healthcare providers during patient visits to accurately document patient history and examination findings.
Transcribe laboratory and radiographic results, as well as patient education and procedural explanations.
Prepare and edit scribed documents for physician review and signature, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
Document pending orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as directed by the physician.
This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension.
Required Skills for Medical Scribe:
Minimum of 6 months experience as a Medical Scribe with a typing speed of 70+ WPM.
Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to quickly learn new software.
Strong written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and related areas to accurately transcribe physician encounters.
