Medical Research Analyst - Summary
- Acts as a primary resource for medical research and evidence review supporting the Medical Affairs department
- Coordinates literature analysis and data assessment for the development and revision of clinical policies
- Works in a fully remote capacity, providing flexibility and access to a nationwide network of experts

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive literature searches using databases such as PubMed, Cochrane, and Embase
- Screen and select relevant research articles based on defined criteria for inclusion in policy development
- Develop and revise PICOT (Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome, Time) questions for LCD projects
- Extract and assess data from studies, ensuring accuracy and evaluating quality and bias
- Conduct meta-analyses and qualitative syntheses to combine study findings
- Compile findings into clear, actionable reports with tables, figures, and appendices
- Create synthesis workbooks and evidence review tables for relevant topics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, presenting findings and policy recommendations
- Act as a liaison during national workgroup meetings, representing research methodologies and policy determinations
- Support policy writing, including development of evidence summaries for inclusion in LCDs
- Mentor junior staff on systematic review methodologies and contribute to process standardization
- Continually update knowledge on systematic review methods and best practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Data Science, or a related field required
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and systematic review software tools (e.g., RevMan, DistillerSR, Covidence)
- Experience conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses
- Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to lead group meetings and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with commitment to high-quality deliverables
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Must have permanent work authorization and ability to work for any employer without sponsorship
Ideal Candidate Snapshot
- Ph.D. in Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Data Science, or related field (preferred)
- At least two years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of PRISMA guidelines and GRADE methodology (preferred)
- Familiarity with statistical software such as Stata or R (preferred)
