Medical Oncologist - Summary
- Provide expert medical oncology care in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Contribute to patient education, support, and follow-up care

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop evidence-based oncology treatment plans
- Manage and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other cancer treatment regimens
- Oversee outpatient clinics with an average of 14-15 patients per day
- Provide light inpatient oncology consultations (approximately 1-5 patients daily)
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, radiologists, and nursing staff
- Participate in patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic medical record system
- Ensure compliance with all applicable medical, ethical, and legal standards
- Remain current with advances in oncology research, guidelines, and best practices
- Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and multidisciplinary tumor boards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology
- Current, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain one as required)
- Experience in both outpatient and inpatient oncology settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
