Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Full-time leadership role overseeing primary care clinical operations
- Focused on value-based care for seniors with chronic conditions
- Manages a small patient panel (60-90 patients maximum) to ensure personalized attention
- Supervises and mentors PCPs and NPs
- Promotes a culture of respect, accessibility, and high-quality health outcomes
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all clinical operations within the primary care center
- Provide exemplary patient care for a dedicated panel of senior patients, typically managing 3-5 chronic conditions per patient
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of PCPs and NPs, fostering clinical excellence and professional development
- Ensure adherence to value-based care principles, emphasizing preventative care and improved patient outcomes
- Participate in and complete leadership training programs, including Medical Director and Center Operations, Leadership Pathways, and Medical Economics
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiology and podiatry, and integrate holistic health services into patient care plans
- Engage in center financial performance initiatives, sales growth, and operational improvements

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine
- At least one year of clinical experience in geriatric or family practice settings
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally for professional commitments
