Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary primary care team focused on senior patients with multiple chronic conditions.
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring delivery of high-quality, value-based care in an outpatient setting.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement among physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Engage in hands-on patient care and administrative leadership to drive optimal health outcomes.
- Support professional development and ongoing training for clinical staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct supervision and leadership of primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) in a team-based outpatient environment.
- Manage a small patient panel, typically up to 240 patients, focusing on seniors with 3-5 chronic diseases.
- Ensure adherence to value-based care principles and evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Participate in specialized training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Oversee medical economics, financial performance, and growth initiatives for the center.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines to provide holistic care.
- Promote holistic health services including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition programs tailored to patient needs.
- Utilize strong communication and analytical skills to support both patient care and operational goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting. Leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
