Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) – Summary
- Lead and support a dedicated clinical team in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to seniors with complex health needs.
- Ensure the coordination of value-based primary care services, emphasizing preventative care and chronic disease management.
- Facilitate access to holistic health services and in-house specialist consultations for patients.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct the daily operations of a primary care outpatient clinic, providing oversight to physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff.
- Maintain a manageable patient panel (up to 250 seniors) with a focus on quality interactions and outcomes.
- Implement and monitor value-based care programs for seniors, most of whom present with multiple chronic conditions (3-5 chronic diseases on average).
- Participate in and lead organizational training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, PCP Essentials, Medical Director and Center Operations, Leadership Pathways, and Medical Economics.
- Engage in strategic initiatives, such as center financial performance, sales, and growth efforts.
- Foster a collaborative clinical environment that supports continuous improvement and holistic patient care, including access to services like acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, nutrition counseling, and in-house consulting specialists (cardiology, podiatry, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and best practices in geriatric and family medicine.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in FM, IM, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
