Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Lead an outpatient primary care clinic serving seniors with complex medical needs.
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure the delivery of value-based care.
- Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary clinical team, including PCPs and NPs.
- Drive the organization’s mission to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare to seniors.
- Participate in ongoing leadership and operational training programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of primary care providers and nurse practitioners in the daily operations of the outpatient clinic.
- Manage a small patient panel (60-90 patients), focusing on seniors with three to five chronic diseases.
- Ensure high standards of clinical care, safety, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Implement value-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Participate in and promote ongoing medical and leadership training, including programs in practice management, center operations, and medical economics.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other fields to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Support holistic health services such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance and identify areas for clinical improvement and growth.
- Engage in community outreach and patient education initiatives to promote healthy living among the senior population.

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board certification or eligibility in FM, IM, or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Leadership experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
