As the Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will work within an outpatient primary care environment, overseeing a small patient panel and leading a team of providers dedicated to serving seniors with multiple chronic diseases. This leadership position is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible physician interested in advancing both clinical and operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing other primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), ensuring the highest standards of care, and driving quality improvement initiatives.

Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Lead and oversee clinical operations in an outpatient primary care setting focused on seniors with chronic conditions.
- Manage a small patient panel, ensuring personalized, value-based healthcare delivery.
- Direct and mentor a team of PCPs and NPs to promote best clinical practices and patient outcomes.
- Participate in leadership and professional development programs designed for medical directors.
- Collaborate with in-house specialists and integrate holistic health services into the patient care model.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a clinical team of providers, including physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Oversee care for a patient panel of 60-90 seniors with 3-5 chronic diseases per patient.
- Implement and uphold value-based care standards to improve patient health and satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training, such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director & Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Engage in center financial performance monitoring and support organizational growth initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines.
- Encourage integration of holistic health services, including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Ensure seamless patient access to services, including arranging door-to-door transportation.
Salary & Benefits

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in geriatric or family practice settings.
- Leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in team management and clinical operations.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and flexibility to travel locally and regionally as required.
