Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview

As a Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will play a key leadership role within our outpatient clinic, overseeing clinical standards and ensuring exceptional care for our senior patient population. This is a full-time opportunity for a committed leader looking to make a significant impact in primary care while advancing their own professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) within the outpatient clinic setting.
- Oversee the delivery of value-based care for a panel of 60-90 senior patients, many of whom have multiple chronic conditions.
- Ensure clinical excellence by maintaining evidence-based practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry, to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes.
- Promote holistic health services, such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling, within the clinic.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development, including programs in clinical leadership, medical economics, and center operations management.
- Contribute to the growth of the clinic by supporting operational initiatives and participating in leadership pathways programs.
- Support the organization’s mission to deliver inclusive, VIP-level care for seniors and champion patient access to transportation resources.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience managing clinical teams preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required.
Professional Development
