Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to lead our clinical operations in Miami, FL. This is a full-time opportunity within a physician-led, mission-driven organization focused on delivering high-quality, value-based care to senior patients. The Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and the successful implementation of our mission to provide accessible, affordable, and VIP-level healthcare to the senior community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for a primary care center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Supervise and support a team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), fostering an environment of collaboration, professional development, and continuous improvement.
- Manage a small patient panel, focusing on seniors with complex health needs and multiple chronic conditions, to deliver individualized, value-based care.
- Oversee the implementation of holistic and integrative health services, including access to in-house consulting specialists in cardiology and podiatry, as well as wellness offerings such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition support.
- Actively participate in medical director and center operations training, including programs in leadership, medical economics, center financial performance, and growth strategy.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to all clinical protocols and guidelines, promoting patient safety and positive health outcomes.
- Engage in local and occasional regional travel as required for clinical and operational needs.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Geriatrics.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required. Leadership experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
