Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) – Summary
- Full-time leadership position for a board-certified/eligible physician (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- Focuses on delivering high-quality, value-based care to a senior population.
- Oversees a small patient panel to ensure personalized attention and optimal outcomes.
- Manages and mentors a team of Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical operations of the primary care center, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Manage and develop PCPs and NPs, providing mentorship and oversight.
- Deliver comprehensive care to seniors, particularly those with 3-5 chronic diseases, using a value-based care model.
- Participate in and complete advanced training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Essentials, and Leadership Pathways.
- Collaborate with in-house specialists (Cardiology, Podiatry, etc.) to support holistic patient care.
- Implement and monitor center financial performance and contribute to sales and growth initiatives.
- Foster a positive patient experience by ensuring access to ancillary services like acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutritional counseling.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and capacity for occasional local/regional travel.
