Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to join our physician-led, mission-driven primary care organization in Jacksonville, FL. As a Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will play a vital role in leading clinical operations, ensuring the quality of care, and guiding a team of healthcare professionals. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced, board-certified physician passionate about leadership and senior care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a clinical team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Supervise a small patient panel of 60-90 patients, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions and promoting a low patient-to-provider ratio for optimal outcomes.
- Implement and oversee value-based care models, ensuring compliance with clinical protocols and organizational standards.
- Participate in the ongoing training and development of clinical staff through programs such as PCP Black Belt Training and Medical Director Essentials.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines to support comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize holistic health services, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition, as part of a collaborative approach to patient wellness.
- Engage in medical economics and center financial performance initiatives, contributing to the growth and efficiency of the Jacksonville, FL clinic.
- Foster a positive work environment that supports work-life balance and professional development for all team members.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine (IM), Family Medicine (FM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
