We are seeking an experienced and committed Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) for an outpatient setting in Louisville, KY. The Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), will play a central role in shaping clinical operations, mentoring providers, and enhancing patient outcomes within a mission-driven organization dedicated to honoring seniors with accessible, high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily clinical operations of the primary care center, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services to a predominantly senior population.
- Supervise, mentor, and support primary care providers (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), fostering professional growth and collaborative teamwork.
- Manage a small patient panel, typically ranging from 60 to 90 seniors, focusing on those with multiple chronic conditions to provide personalized and coordinated care.
- Implement and promote value-based care models, aiming to improve health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in and complete ongoing leadership training, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and the Leadership Pathways Program.
- Oversee medical economics and contribute to the financial performance of the center through responsible resource management and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiologists and podiatrists, and support holistic health services, including acupuncture, nutrition, and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in sales and growth initiatives to expand the center's reach and impact within the Louisville, KY, community.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required; prior leadership experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
