As the Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will oversee a collaborative team of primary care providers (PCPs), nurse practitioners (NPs), and clinical support staff, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, coordinated care to a diverse panel of senior patients. You will leverage your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for population health to advance the organization’s mission of delivering affordable, VIP-level care. This position offers robust support, including in-house consulting specialists, holistic health services, and innovative care delivery models such as door-to-door patient transportation.
This role is ideal for a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics with at least one year of clinical practice experience and a demonstrated aptitude for leadership. Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Leadership position overseeing primary care clinical operations in an outpatient setting

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of primary care providers and nurse practitioners
- Manage a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors with 3-5 chronic diseases each
- Oversee clinical operations and ensure high standards of quality and safety
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care, including collaboration with in-house specialists (cardiology, podiatry, and more)
- Promote value-based care and participate in organizational quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in Medical Director training encompassing clinical leadership, operations, medical economics, and center financial performance
- Support holistic health services, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition
- Participate in community outreach and patient engagement activities
- Contribute to the development and execution of clinical protocols and policies
- Advocate for patient access, including oversight of transportation services

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- Minimum of one year’s clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting
- Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated strength in clinical leadership, team management, and communication
- Analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as part of clinical leadership duties
