Medical Director – Primary Care, MD/DO Overview

We are seeking a Medical Director – Primary Care, MD/DO, to lead a dedicated team in our Memphis, TN outpatient clinic. This full-time leadership role is ideal for experienced clinicians who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors and are eager to participate in innovative healthcare delivery models.
Responsibilities
- Oversee clinical operations of the primary care outpatient center, ensuring delivery of high-quality, patient-centered healthcare services.
- Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Maintain a small patient panel (maximum of 60-90 patients) to provide personalized, comprehensive care, primarily to seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Champion value-based care initiatives and contribute to achieving clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction goals.
- Participate in and complete specialized leadership and operational training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Operations, and Leadership Pathways.
- Monitor and analyze medical economics and center financial performance, and contribute to ongoing growth and sales strategies.
- Collaborate with consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines to coordinate holistic patient care services.
- Promote and integrate holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition into patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting. Leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to motivate and develop clinical teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required.
