Medical Director, Primary Care - Summary- Lead clinical and administrative operations within a primary care practice serving adult patients.
- Average patient load of 20 per day, with patient appointments typically lasting 15-20 minutes.
- Serve as a key resource for clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Promote evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Enjoy a structured Monday-Friday schedule with minimal after-hours call requirements.
- Direct the delivery of primary care services for adult patients ages 18 and older, ensuring clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and mentor physicians and other clinical providers within the practice.
- Oversee patient care processes, emphasizing patient safety, satisfaction, and optimal health outcomes.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures that promote efficiency and high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, utilizing data to monitor practice performance and identify areas for enhancement.
- Manage a daily patient schedule of approximately 23-24 patients, with an anticipated average of 20 patients seen per day.
- Allocate appropriate time for each patient visit, typically 15-20 minutes per appointment.
- Coordinate care and ensure continuity for adult patients, without the requirement for hospital visits.
- Fulfill limited on-call duties, covering one week per year with specified hours (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM).
- Maintain up-to-date credentials, licensure, and continuing medical education as required by organizational policies and state regulations.
