Medical Director – Primary Care Summary
- Lead and oversee a primary care clinic focused on value-based care for seniors.
- Manage a small patient panel (60–90 patients) for personalized care.
- Supervise primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Implement and support clinical and operational excellence.
- Participate in leadership development and partnership tracks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate clinical activities within the primary care center.
- Manage and mentor PCPs and NPs to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Oversee care for a panel of seniors, many with multiple chronic diseases (typically 3–5 chronic conditions per patient).
- Promote and uphold value-based care principles, focusing on patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Engage in ongoing training, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and Medical Economics.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists such as cardiologists and podiatrists to provide comprehensive care.
- Support holistic health programs, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition services.
- Review and manage center financial performance, supporting growth and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical, operational, and legal standards.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Preferred: Prior leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and, on occasion, regionally.
