Medical Director – Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Director – Primary Care (MD/DO) for a full-time position in Delray Beach, FL. As a physician-led and mission-driven organization, our focus is on delivering comprehensive, value-based healthcare to seniors in our local community. The Medical Director – Primary Care role is integral to our commitment to providing affordable, high-quality care and transforming the lives of our patients through compassionate leadership and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a center-based clinical team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Oversee the delivery of value-based care to a panel of senior patients, most of whom have multiple chronic health conditions.
- Maintain a small patient panel, ensuring personalized attention and continuity of care for each individual.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiologists and podiatrists, to coordinate holistic care for patients.
- Promote patient wellness by integrating holistic health services, including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutritional counseling.
- Implement best practices in center operations, quality assurance, and financial performance, guided by ongoing training programs.
- Participate in leadership development programs and contribute to sales and growth initiatives within the clinic.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment for all clinical and administrative staff.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally within Delray Beach, FL and occasionally regionally as needed for training and operational purposes.
Professional Development and Training
- Participation in PCP Black Belt and Essentials training, Medical Director and Center Operations programs, and Leadership Pathways.
- Ongoing training in medical economics, center financial performance, and growth strategies.
