Medical Director, Primary Care - Summary
- Lead a primary care outpatient clinic serving seniors with complex health needs.
- Oversee and mentor a clinical team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Implement value-based care initiatives focused on measurable health outcomes.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct daily clinical operations in a primary care outpatient setting.
- Supervise and support PCPs and NPs to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care.
- Manage a small patient panel (60-90 patients) comprised primarily of seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Engage in value-based care practices, focusing on improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Participate in and complete specialized leadership and management training, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director Essentials, and Leadership Pathways Program.
- Monitor and drive clinical and financial performance metrics for the center.
- Foster growth and support operational excellence within the clinic environment.
- Collaborate with consulting specialists (such as cardiology, podiatry) and support holistic patient services (acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, nutrition counseling).
- Ensure seamless care coordination and accessible services for patients, including door-to-door transportation as needed.
- Promote the organization’s mission and patient-centered philosophy throughout all clinical activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with technology-driven clinical environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel locally and occasionally regionally for organizational needs.
