Medical Director, Primary Care - Summary
- Lead and supervise a team of primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs)
- Oversee a small patient panel (60-90 patients maximum), primarily seniors with chronic conditions
- Promote and implement value-based care initiatives
- Participate in ongoing leadership and operational training
- Contribute to the holistic health and wellbeing of the patient population
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct daily clinical operations of the outpatient primary care center
- Provide high-quality primary care to a panel of senior patients, focusing on those with multiple chronic diseases
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate PCPs and NPs to ensure the highest standards of care
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration with in-house consulting specialists, including cardiology and podiatry
- Integrate holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition into patient care plans
- Participate in center financial performance, medical economics, and growth initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development through programs such as PCP Black Belt Training and Leadership Pathways
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting
- Leadership experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as required
