Medical Director, Primary Care - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical operations of a primary care center, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety
- Manage and mentor primary care physicians and nurse practitioners, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth
- Monitor and enhance clinical performance, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction scores
- Implement organization-wide protocols and best practices, adapting them to the needs of the senior patient population
- Direct care for a small panel of patients (60-90 maximum), focusing on seniors with complex chronic conditions
- Participate in training programs including leadership development and clinical excellence initiatives
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiology and podiatry, to deliver integrated care
- Promote and participate in holistic health services, including wellness programs and preventive care initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally
