Medical Director – Primary Care (MD/DO) - Summary
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in a primary care outpatient setting.
- Champion value-based care initiatives and ensure optimal health outcomes for a senior patient population.
- Guide clinical operations, quality assurance, and professional development for all clinical staff.
- Support the organizational mission to provide accessible, high-quality healthcare for seniors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a small patient panel (60-90 patients), focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Supervise and mentor Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and other clinical staff.
- Implement and monitor value-based care strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists, such as cardiologists and podiatrists, to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure adherence to organizational protocols, clinical best practices, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing training programs, including PCP Essentials, Medical Director Training, and leadership pathways.
- Analyze center financial performance, engage in growth and sales initiatives, and contribute to the holistic growth of the clinic.
- Promote and support holistic health services, including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling for patients.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement among all staff members.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Proven leadership abilities in a clinical environment; prior leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
