Medical Director, Primary Care Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to lead our outpatient primary care center in Orlando, FL on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide the daily clinical operations of the primary care center, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), fostering a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a manageable patient panel, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions, to ensure individualized and proactive care management.
- Implement and monitor value-based care initiatives, striving for improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Participate in leadership development programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations coursework, and pathways for further advancement.
- Collaborate with in-house specialists and holistic health providers to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary care to patients.
- Engage in center financial performance, sales, and growth strategies as part of ongoing clinic leadership responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams to support optimal patient experiences and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree in a relevant specialty.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; leadership experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed for leadership and operational responsibilities.
