Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) – Full-time in Philadelphia, PA Overview

As a Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO), you will play a critical leadership role in managing clinical operations and ensuring high-quality, value-based care for patients. Our organization is committed to providing affordable, comprehensive care with a focus on achieving better health outcomes for those most in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the clinical operations of a primary care outpatient center, guiding both primary care physicians (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs) to deliver exceptional care to a senior patient population.
- Manage a small patient panel, typically capped at 60-90 patients, with a focus on seniors managing multiple chronic diseases.
- Champion value-based care initiatives, ensuring that care delivery aligns with best practices and the organization’s mission.
- Coordinate with in-house consulting specialists such as cardiologists and podiatrists to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
- Support and participate in holistic health services, including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition programs for patients.
- Oversee patient services, including the provision of door-to-door transportation to facilitate access to care.
- Participate in organization-sponsored training programs such as PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways.
- Contribute to medical economics and financial performance of the center, supporting sustainable growth and high standards of care.
- Engage in local and occasional regional travel as required to support center operations and leadership initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
