Medical Director - Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview
We are a physician-led, mission-driven healthcare organization focused on transforming primary care for seniors. As we continue to expand our impact, we are seeking an experienced Medical Director - Primary Care (MD/DO) for our outpatient center in St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time opportunity for a clinical leader passionate about advancing value-based care in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to deliver high-quality outpatient care.
- Manage a small patient panel of 60-90 patients, focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions, ensuring personalized and comprehensive care.
- Champion value-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and optimize clinic performance.
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring compliance with best practice standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide mentorship and support to clinical staff, fostering professional growth and continuous learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through leadership training, medical economics, and operational management programs.
- Engage with in-house specialists and holistic health services to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in a primary care, geriatric, or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
