Medical Director, Primary Care - Summary
- Lead a primary care outpatient clinic focused on senior care and value-based delivery models
- Oversee a small patient panel, promoting individualized attention and optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and in-house consulting specialists
- Drive clinical, operational, and financial performance in alignment with organizational mission
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor primary care providers (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs)
- Manage a patient panel of 60-90 seniors, typically with three to five chronic diseases
- Champion value-based care initiatives and promote high-quality patient outcomes
- Participate in and complete Medical Director and Center Operations training
- Engage in ongoing leadership development and financial performance management
- Coordinate with in-house specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines
- Support holistic wellness services such as acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Facilitate patient access to care, including overseeing transportation services

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or related specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed
