Medical Director – Primary Care – Summary
- Serve as the clinical leader for an outpatient primary care center in New Orleans, LA
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and consulting specialists

Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage clinical operations, ensuring delivery of effective and compassionate patient care
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance management for primary care providers and nurse practitioners
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Maintain a manageable patient panel (60-90 patients) for optimal care delivery
- Utilize value-based care principles to improve patient health and reduce unnecessary hospitalizations
- Participate in organizational leadership development programs and ongoing clinical training
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines
- Support holistic health services, including acupuncture, Tai Chi, yoga, and nutrition
- Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold the organization’s mission and values

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting
- Demonstrated leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally
