Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director, Primary Care (MD/DO) to lead a dynamic outpatient center serving the senior population in Cincinnati, OH. This full-time leadership position is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, value-based primary care and enjoys working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. As the Medical Director, Primary Care, you will play a central role in overseeing clinical operations, guiding a team of healthcare professionals, and ensuring that patients receive comprehensive, holistic care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to ensure the highest standards in patient care delivery.
- Oversee the care of a small patient panel, typically 60-90 seniors managing 3-5 chronic diseases each, ensuring personalized and attentive medical services.
- Implement and champion value-based care principles to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate and participate in clinical training programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Center Operations, and Leadership Pathways to foster ongoing professional development for yourself and your team.
- Monitor and improve center financial performance by collaborating with administrative teams and participating in medical economics initiatives.
- Support center growth by engaging in sales and outreach activities to strengthen the center’s presence in the Cincinnati, OH community.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards in clinical practice.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists and integrate holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition into patient care plans.
- Participate in regular leadership meetings and contribute to organizational strategy and mission fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
