Medical Director – Primary Care – Summary
- Lead an outpatient primary care clinic focused on delivering value-based care to a senior population.
- Oversee and manage a team of primary care providers (PCPs) and nurse practitioners (NPs).
- Ensure high standards of clinical quality and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in leadership training and ongoing professional development programs.
- Contribute to the organization’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to seniors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a small patient panel of 60-90 individuals, primarily seniors with multiple chronic conditions.
- Direct clinical operations and ensure delivery of evidence-based, holistic primary care services.
- Coordinate care with in-house specialists such as cardiology and podiatry, as well as holistic health services including acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Manage, mentor, and provide leadership for PCPs and NPs within the clinic.
- Drive initiatives to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and clinic financial performance.
- Participate in center medical director training programs covering clinical best practices, operations, leadership, and medical economics.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
- Utilize strong communication and analytical abilities to optimize clinic performance.
- Support the growth and development of the practice through leadership in sales and expansion initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all clinical and organizational policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed for leadership duties and training.
