Medical Director – Primary Care Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director – Primary Care to lead a primary care outpatient center in Deerfield Beach, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the clinical operations of a primary care outpatient center, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care and adherence to best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), fostering a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
- Manage a small patient panel of 60-90 seniors, focusing on individuals with multiple chronic conditions, and ensure the implementation of value-based care initiatives.
- Implement and monitor clinical protocols, quality metrics, and operational efficiencies to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and leadership development programs, including PCP Black Belt Training, Medical Director and Center Operations, Leadership Pathways, and Medical Economics.
- Collaborate with in-house consulting specialists in cardiology, podiatry, and other disciplines to deliver holistic health services such as acupuncture, tai chi, yoga, and nutrition counseling.
- Engage in community outreach and growth activities to support the center’s mission and expand access to care in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a closely related specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as part of the role.
