Medical Director – Primary Care (MD/DO) Overview

As a Medical Director – Primary Care in Orlando, FL, Full-time, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping patient care and driving clinical excellence within an outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the daily operations of a primary care center, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Manage and mentor a team of Primary Care Physicians (PCPs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs), supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintain a small patient panel (maximum of 60–90 patients), focusing on seniors with multiple chronic conditions, to provide personalized and comprehensive care.
- Implement value-based care strategies to improve patient health and optimize center performance.
- Participate in and promote ongoing training programs, such as PCP Black Belt Training and leadership pathways, to enhance clinical and operational expertise.
- Collaborate with in-house specialists, including cardiologists and podiatrists, to provide integrated and holistic health services for patients.
- Engage in medical economics and center financial performance initiatives to ensure sustainable and high-quality operations.
- Contribute to growth and outreach efforts within the community to expand access to high-quality primary care.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree with board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine (FM), Internal Medicine (IM), or Geriatric Medicine.
- At least one year of clinical experience in a geriatric or family practice setting is required; prior leadership experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential to succeed in this role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to travel locally and occasionally regionally as needed.
