Within this full-time role, the Medical Director (MD/DO) engages collaboratively with the executive leadership team to set and achieve strategic goals, oversees compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and champions process improvements that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. The Medical Director (MD/DO) provides ongoing coaching, professional development opportunities, and performance feedback to clinical staff, ensuring alignment with organizational values and federal guidelines. The position includes responsibility for chairing quality improvement efforts, supporting risk management, and leading peer review programs to maintain clinical excellence and compliance.

Medical Director (MD/DO) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary medical care and oversee clinical operations using electronic health records.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide performance feedback to all medical providers.
- Lead and participate in peer review, quality improvement, and compliance committees.
- Collaborate with other executives, directors, and managers on training, policy development, and clinical protocols.
- Represent the organization in public forums, professional networks, and with community stakeholders.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and retention of provider team members.
- Support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management efforts.
- Facilitate professional development, clinical education, and monthly provider meetings.
- Champion process improvements to enhance access, quality, and efficiency of care delivery.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reporting of patient care activities.

Qualifications & Requirements
- MD or DO degree; active, unrestricted license to practice medicine.
- Board certification in relevant specialty area.
- Active DEA license; current BLS/CPR certification.
- No sanctions under Medicare or Medicaid programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
